What we collect
To run Chorus we store the audio you record, the race and marker it was recorded for, your display name and avatar, your account email, and the usage events we need to know whether playback worked. We do not sell any of it, we do not use it to train anything, and we do not hand it to advertisers.
How your audio is handled
Note audio is stored on Supabase object storage with per-race access rules. Only accounts tied to the race can access its notes. Deleting your account deletes the notes you recorded; deleting a race deletes every note on it, with a short grace window first.
Payments
Keepsake purchases and the season pass are processed by Stripe. We never see your card number. Stripe retains payment metadata on its side under its own policy.
Analytics
We use PostHog to see which flows work and which flows break — the event set is a defined, documented list (race joined, note recorded, keepsake covered, note fired, note missed, and so on). We do not record sessions, and we strip anything we don’t need before writing.
Transactional email
We send a confirmation when you record a note, and a short reminder to prepare the morning of a race. Those run through Resend. There is no marketing list; there is no newsletter.
Your rights
You can download every note tied to your account, you can delete your account, and you can delete any single note. Account deletion is immediate; a short grace window lets us reverse an accidental delete.
Terms, in short
You own what you record. You give Chorus permission to play it to the runner it was recorded for, to stitch it into their keepsake, and to include it in the recap page they can share. You do not record for anyone else without their consent; you do not use Chorus to send anything you wouldn’t say to a person’s face.
